Large room! Washing machine! Ten minutes walk to station and morning market and 30 to the outdoor village.

Has family rooms that can accommodate larger families. We are a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) and this worked great for us.

Parking is pretty much non-existent. There was enough parking for maybe 5 or 6 vehicles for the entire hotel. Needless to say, they were all full by the time we arrived. There is cheap parking around the corner which staff can direct you to.

It have washing machine microwave and cook top if you need it

Excellent. Large room with cooking facilities, also had a great combo washer/dryer. So clean and well presented. We would 100% stay here again. Great for families and had everything we needed.

Parking was very limited and there is virtually none onsite (only 6 spots) which I did not know prior to booking. We had to park in the public lot close by.

Well-equipped room with kitchen, washing machine and a spacious bathroom with drying-function which are really convenient and helpful. Comfortable and clean beds.

It would be better if there is a power socket under the television for phone-charging and water-boiling. Although the bathroom has drying function, it appears that there is a lack of hooks inside. A bit far from the train station with limited street lightings at night.

The room has a good layout that really makes great use of the available space. We were only 3 persons in a room that can sleep 6, so plenty of space. It might get a bit crowded with 6, if all are adults. The beds were very comfortable. Nice to have a kitchenette and seating area. And even better to have a washing/dryer. Very efficient machine that was. Good location with a lovely ramen restaurant nearby and a 7-11 across the road.

No tea or coffee provided, but that is probably why the 7-11 across the road has such a good selection. Strangely though, there was nowhere to plug in the kettle in the kitchenette. We ended up making coffee on the coffee table using the (provided) extension cord. Would have preferred a window one can see through.

The room was very good and spacious. The cost was attractive. The location is reasonably close to the old town (15 min walk). The room is great for families. There is a free laundry machine in the room.

Parking was not free and the local parking was full. No meals arrangement in the hotel. You can cook your own meal in the room.

The location was within walking distance of everything you'd want to see in Takayama (15-20 mins), and it was close to the train station and other amenities as well. We had a car on our trip but never ended up using it! Staff were friendly but the place is mostly self-serve - you can check in and out with a QR code. Clean rooms, with lots of space for a family if you rent out the big one and the beds were comfy. 7-11 across the street was convenient for snacks and ATM.

Parking costs 1000 yen a night, which is a bit more expensive than the going rate of the nearby parking lots. Personally I would have preferred not to pay for parking but regardless it was nice to have. The spot were a bit tight for the RAV4 we had rented and there was no pre-reservation so we had to wait 1 day to get our spot.

Pretty good location and our room was very spacious for our party of five. Rooms were also very well furnished as well as having a good variety of appliances. I can see this room as being quite ideal for families to stay in.

The double bunk bed was a little unexpected. And the ceiling space for the top bunks was definitely a little on the short sides (especially given many in our party were rather tall in stature).

Close to central station, spacious, clean and helpful staff

The room was spacious for 2 people, exceptionally clean room and kitchen had everything we needed! Absolutely loved our stay here, while it wasn’t as central as other hotels - we were right in front of a seven eleven!

The rooms were quite large and very comfortable for our family of 4. There was a small kitchenette as well which made it easy to have breakfast in the unit. Our room also had a washing machine and a drying room which when you’re travelling is a bit of a godsend. Also a 7/11 across the road. We would definitely stay here again, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was a bit of a walk from what we would call the main area of town. Fav Lux is closer and next time we would probably consider staying there because it is closer walking distance to everything. In saying that though it was probably only 20 mins walk to places.

Family rooms available. Kids loved the bunk beds and having their own space. Washing machine available in the rooms. Staff were friendly.

Limited space to put bags. Location is a little distant from the areas you wish to visit. Limited paid parking.

There are complete amenities - there is a washing machine and a small kitchenette in the room. The staff gave good advice.

Spacious and comfortable for a small family and close to the station, Takayama attractions and restaurants and a konbini across the road.

After three years and three stays at FAV Takayama, some of the furnishings are looking a bit worn.

The room was great. The bathroom was nice and the washing machine was a plus. The room was cleaned once every two days.

There was a smell of food in the hall and the room, but that did not bother us much. It’s understandable since there is a small kitchenette in the room.

Comfortable and spacious. 5 mins from back entrance of train station. Loved it. The shower cubicle converts to a heated drying room so joggers and heave were wages and dried very quickly
